Ángela Maria Ponce Camacho (born Ángel Mario Ponce Camacho in 1991) is a Spanish model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe Spain 2018. Ponce made history on 29 June 2018 as the first transgender woman to be crowned Miss Spain. She represented her country at Miss Universe 2018 as the first transgender contestant competing for the title. She did not advance to the finals.

Ponce entered and won the Miss World Cadiz 2015 title. Since she won that title, she represented Cadiz in Miss Universe Spain 2015. At that pageant, she was unplaced.On 29 June 2018, Ponce competed at the Miss Universe Spain 2018 pageant and won the title, becoming the first transgender woman to win the title. She represented Spain at the Miss Universe 2018 finals in Bangkok, in which she was unplaced.

She is the first transgender women to be crowned Miss Spain and be a constant in Miss Universe.

She was previously crowned  Miss World Cadiz 2015.

Marvia Malik 

Marvia Malik is a Pakistani Newsreader and media figure. She became the first openly transgender newsreader to appear on Pakistani television in 2018. Malik was born in Lahore in 1997 to a family of three siblings. She became estranged from her family later in life. While still with her family, she was able to complete her matriculation. As a child, she was bullied by her classmates in school. after leaving home, she took refuge with other trans women. She was determined to become a lawyer or a journalist her whole life.

She then applied for a position at Kohenoor News. Regarding the breakthrough with her becoming a news anchor, Marvia has stated that, "Our society treats transgender people shamefully, degrading them, denying them jobs, laughing at them and taunting them.I want to change that.

She worked as a makeup artist in order to fund her higher studies, before pursuing a career in mass media, graduating with a degree in the latter from Punjab University. She plans to follow through with higher studies.

She has previously modelled as well She has walked the runway for the Pakistan Fashion Design Council fashion week in Lahore, a job she got through students at the Lahore Grammar School.

In March 2018, Malik became the first openly transgender person to fill the role of newsreader on a Pakistani news broadcast.This occurrence attracted media attention.She is working with Kohenoor News "Azad Bhi Zimydar Bhi" the news channel helped her to groom in the field of journalism.

She is planning to advocate property rights for trans persons in Pakistan.She is also demanding reservation for trans persons in employment and in Parliament.She does not believe in the term "third gender".

Rimal Ali is the first transgender Women that debut in a Pakistani movie ""Saat Din  Mohabbat "".

          

Bold, blunt, beautiful- that is Rimal Ali for you, if you know nothing about her you would have never noticed that she is not your average girl next door. Though she has strived to be one; physically at least. Rimal is Pakistan’s first transgender model who is willing to do whatever it takes to fit in. When I met her for the first time, I couldn’t help but sneak glances at her. She has an aura of talking, walking, moving and even sitting like a superstar. And why wouldn’t she? Struggling in the industry for almost 9 years she has finally made her name. For the right reasons or not? That’s for you to decide. With a degree from Punjab University, Rimal still went up for what she is most passionate about- dancing.

              

For her, it’s a catharsis, a form of art which should be given respect as much as the others. “When I dance, it feels like I’m opening my soul in the wind; it’s my passion and I’m not ashamed of it.” Dancing for a transgender is nothing new in Pakistan- but how she does it is what’s enticing. Rimal, no doubt has a very controversial online presence that is hard for an average Pakistani to accept but according to her, she portrays the real face of the society. She says if people can see bold scenes in Hollywood or Bollywood films then why not here. “Either stop making films in an Islamic country or if it’s a democracy, show the reality and the number of views on my videos portrays the true face of Pakistan.”

                

Rimal’s endeavor with Soch Band has been huge and we won’t lie, that is what actually caught our attention. “Is ishq na janay tenu ki keeta, hai dard bhi kamli, tu has k peeta. Is ishq wafa may tunay kya paya, hai apnay sath hi, dhoka keeta.” – these lyrics have especially been written for Rimal who is a childhood friend of the band members. It is rumored that Rimal fell for someone who didn’t accept her for being who she is; true or not- the lyrics have such a deep feel that anyone with a heartbreak can relate to them. This song had been planned years ago but they were afraid of society’s reaction- however,  it recently, surfaced the web and even caught attention of BBC World and Now This.

This is the reason why she wants everyone to like her to never hide or lie about their reality. “Come out of the darkness and the world WILL accept you. Just be bold and strong!” Rimal pleads to ‘regular’ people to accept them, as it is not their fault for being born this way. “What if a baby like us gets born in your house? Would you toss them away or raise them as they are? Spread the love; the world is already too full of hate.”

Nitasha, a trans woman who hails from Kolkata, was named the first Miss Transqueen India in Gurgaon on Sunday.Nitasha, 26, is currently pursuing Masters in Business Management in Kolkata.
Loiloi from Manipur bagged the first runner-up position and Ragasya from Chennai was crowned the second runner-up. There are 16 finalists represented some of the Indian states.

The winner will represent the country at the Miss International Transqueen to be held next year in Thailand.
Transgender people are often self-stigmatised, or lack confidence to pursue any career that they choose to. They are often made to think that are not good enough for anything besides begging or some menial work." Reena Rai, founder of Suhani Dreamcatchers, the event-management firm organising the beauty pageant, said.
We want to change this. Our beauty pageant and its grooming sessions offer hope and is a symbol for change. We want transgenders to get respectable, mainstream work in fashion, film, TV, and alike avenues," she said.
The participants, who were selected after auditions of 1,500 transwomen, have gone through a rigorous training by several grooming experts who have earlier been a part of many beauty pageants.
The winner will be crowned by Miss Transsexual Australia International 2017 Laetica Phylliscia Raveena.

In 1975 Richards underwent male-to-female sex reassignment surgery. She disputed this policy, and the New York Supreme Court ruled in her favor in 1977 in a decision in favor of transsexual rights. One line of argument that tries to further segregate transgender people is that they are not “real” women or men because they do not have the exact same experiences as most cisgender people. This is dangerous in the sense that it invalidates the lived experiences of a threatened minority group, while othering them and opening the door for “separate but equal” legal marginalization. It’s also wrong on a number of levels.

Transgender people are held to a double (read impossible) standard for asserting the validity of their gender identities. David Reimer was raised as a girl, but no one questioned whether he was a “real” boy when he asserted gender identity. The same is true for the guevodoces. In this, we can see that when someone asserts a gender other than the one they were raised in, it is only treated as valid if the individual’s eventual identity is cisgender.

Similarly, many transgender children are now socially transitioning at an early enough age that they will likely have almost no memory of having lived in a different gender role. Even in my case, as a “late” transitioner (mid-30’s), when I die I will likely have spent more than half my life being treated as a woman. On top of that, there’s the issue that male privilege is not monolithic.

Finally, the argument that you’re only a “real” woman if you have menstruated, are fertile, or have had children is reductionist and vaguely creepy, in a Handmaiden’s Tale kind of way. There are cisgender women who never have a period, are infertile, or choose not to have children and don’t have to defend the validity of their gender identity and expression.

1.Transgender people live crazy lives

This is probably the most common misconception about trans people. Many people incorrectly associate being transgender with automatically living a “crazy lifestyle” based on tv and in the movies.

All transgender people do the everyday things that are a part of life. They go to work, buy groceries, see movies, kiss their kids good night.They are people. They do people things like everyone else.

Transgender people are confused

Just because a person is different, doesn’t mean they don’t know who they are. They are females, males, and intersex. Trans people have a gender. They are men, women, queer, and other genders. They know their sex and they know their gender. This can be confusing to us who inhabit more traditional gender roles, but to the transgender person, it is not confusing. It is just who they are.

That said, coming to the realization that you are trans, and coming out publicly as trans, in a society that doesn’t accept or understand you can be very confusing and hurtful. Many transgender people have experiences of feeling “defective” or “wrong.” This is a social problem, not a gender identity problem.

Transgender people are mentally disturbed

It’s true that many transgender people suffer from mental illness. But it’s not because of their gender identity alone! It’s because in a patriarchal society, being gender variant causes a lot of distress. So much distress, in fact, that it can be described by the diagnosis of a mental disorder. This diagnosis is helpful because it tells us that this person is hurting and something needs to be done to help. Transgender people have the same brains we do. They are just faced with a lot more mental and emotional stress.

Transgender people are gay

Gender identity and sexual orientation are two completely different things. One is what gender we see ourselves as being. The other is what gender(s) and sex(es) we are physically and romantically attracted to.

Knowing one doesn’t tell you about the other.
